Sundub
is where roots reggae meets soul
Born in New York City in 2017, SunDub is more than a band — it's a living, breathing collective. Multiracial, multigenerational, and family-rooted at its core, the group is led by Joanna Teters, whose smoky, commanding voice has earned her recognition as one of the best vocalists in reggae today. Alongside her brother Ben Teters on drums and vocals, and anchored by Sidney Mills of Steel Pulse on keys, Finnegan Singer and Jose Lopez on guitars, and Derrick Bourne on bass, SunDub brings an airtight sound that moves between deep roots reggae, soul, and spiritual resistance. On stage and on record, they don't just perform — they testify.
Four albums in, SunDub keeps raising the bar. Their latest record Shoot Your Arrow (2026) — recorded at the legendary Tuff Gong Studios in Jamaica — is a defining chapter: eleven tracks that weave classic roots-reggae with soul, rock, and modern pop, centered on resilience, vulnerability, love, and self-worth. Along the way, they've built a catalog that has reached millions of listeners worldwide and a roster of collaborators that reads like a reggae hall of fame — Peetah Morgan, Sister Nancy, Earl "Chinna" Smith, Dean Fraser, Scientist, The Meditations, and many more. SunDub carries the tradition forward without looking back.
